BREAKFAST CLUB

The Breakfast Club currently operates in local AucklandIntermediateSchools, including schools in South Auckland, West Auckland and Central. We provide breakfast twice a week (on Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 7:15am to 8:15am for approximately 30-50 kids per morning in each school.

Breakfast is an incredibly important meal, especially for children, in helping them to maintain energy and concentration throughout the day at school.

We believe that by providing the opportunity for children to come early to school and get a wholesome healthy breakfast, we can help to reinforce the education of the importance of breakfast.

The Breakfast Club provides cereal, fruit and milk, as well as toasted bagels donated by New Zealand company Abe's Bagels.  This breafkast gives them a nourishing start to the day setting them on a course for life in which they understand and value breakfast and good nutrition.

Life Skills

We also believe in helping children to make choices that will help them instead of hinder them in life, so we invite guests to the Breakfast Club and include a "life-skills" segment at various times throughout the year.

We have had guests in the past such as Nathan King (from Zed), Stanley Afeaki (representative for Tonga in Rugby Union), Dayna Vawdrey (from Studio 2 – TV2's after school show), and Ruben Wiki (Captain of Kiwi Rugby League team).  This time is important to encourage the kids about dreaming big, to value education, and give them motivation to make positive choices.
